After an adventurous festival summer with appearances at the legendary Wacken Open Air and Summer Breeze, amongst others, boisterous thrash metal engine NERVOSA is far away from taking things slow and accelerates even more by smashing their new single, “Elements Of Sin”. “Elements Of Sin” marks the third single cut from the fierce upcoming fifth full-length, Jailbreak, to finally be released this Friday, September 29 via Napalm Records! Finally seeing the light of day, Jailbreak is a decisive start of a new era in the band’s history, as it’s the first NERVOSA album with guitarist and founding member Prika Amaral on vocal duties, and showcases the mighty new lineup completed by the immensely talented and well experienced Michaela Naydenova on drums, Hel Pyre on bass and Helena Kotina on guitars.

’Elements Of Sin’ was one of the first songs that me and Helena composed together. I remember when the riff from the chorus came at the end of 2021 and the lyrics of the chorus came together. We were so excited with this song that we also composed a few parts of the drums at that time. The process of composing of this album was very fun.

Among its various themes, brand new album Jailbreak explores messages of breaking free from everyone and everything holding you back from doing exactly what you want to do. It encourages the listener to be proud of who they are, to trust in themselves and the strength that lies within them. The album’s lyrical themes comment on our society in a direct, critical manner, with messages delivered through intensely fast-twitching, raw soundscapes.
Prika Amaral on Jailbreak:
I’m very happy with the result of how our new album turned out. This time, we were able to take even more risks and do new things. With two guitars the doors open to a whole new world of possibilities, in fact NERVOSA had two guitars in the beginning, but then we decided to go with one guitar for logistical reasons, since it would be easier to move with one less person for tours. Now NERVOSA has a much bigger structure that allowed this addition, and we are really enjoying this moment of the band. The process of writing this record was the most fun and brought the most musicality, enriching the band.
Helena Kotina adds:
I think Jailbreak is NERVOSA‘s most revolutionary record, both musically and lyrically. It was a very challenging process but at the same time very constructive. We were able to take care of every detail until we obtained the best result.

After releasing their latest studio album, Dreams of Lands Unseen, uprising Ukrainian metal band IGNEA is ready to take to the stages of the EU and UK supporting Fear Factory. But before embarking on that journey, the fearless five-piece will go on a charity tour throughout their home country of Ukraine in cities, including those that are close to the frontline, fulfilling the words of their president Zelensky stated in February 2022: “you will see our faces, not our backs”.
To hype their fans up, IGNEA have released a live experience video for their song “Daleki Obriyi” (Далекі Обрії’), sung in their native language. It was filmed at the Faine Misto festival in Ukraine – the biggest festival to happen in the country since the beginning of the war – with around 15,000 visitors over the course of three days. At this event, funds for the needs of Ukraine were raised.
As a winner at The Best Ukrainian Metal Act Awards (including “Best Ukrainian Metal Act 2020”) and having gained many millions of Spotify streams with fan-favorites like “Alga”, “Leviathan”, and “Jinnslammer”, IGNEA have already earned their status as an unmissable band-to-watch. The captivating concept album, Dreams of Lands Unseen, was released this past April via Napalm Records, and considering the ongoing the circumstances of the war, the album exceeded all expectations – inviting the listener to follow them into new worlds!

Soon, it’s going to be two years of the full-scale war of Russia against Ukraine. We’re losing the bravest people who are freeing our territories and who also make it possible for such events as the Faine Misto festival to happen.
This one performance has charged us for months to come. It was the first music event of such a scale in Ukraine since February 2022. And it wasn’t happening just for fun — as it was a charity festival raising funds for the needs of Ukraine through ticket sales and auctions, and even workshops on tactical medicine, and mine and explosive hazard management.
We feel that this is much more powerful than some usual official video, especially for our song in Ukrainian language. Here, you can see Ukrainian metalheads living their moment. Any next minute, there can be an air raid siren, any next minute can be the last one. And we hope that you can feel this energy, like we felt it from the stage.

“We are so excited about this new chapter called Hermitage. Personally, I’ve dreamed of writing a real concept album like this since the release of the suite called Daruma’s Eyes Pt 1 on the album Of Jupiter and Moons, and finally, we made it – a complete story with six characters (represented by six singers) plus such a great narrator. We decided to change the production team, 100% from Italy; we worked together with Simone Mularoni on the mixing, as we did in the first three albums of the band, plus for the very first time, I worked together with someone else for the orchestrations: Daniele Mazza, the mastermind of Ancient Bards. The artwork also was made by the talented artist Giada Belviso. Get ready for a journey through magic and dreams, and welcome to Hermitage.”

ALTERIUM, the new Italian power metal quintet led by Nicoletta Rosellini (ex. Kalidia, Walk in Darkness), has inked a worldwide deal with AFM Records / Soulfood Music!
Born in late 2022, ALTERIUM consists of Nicoletta and former bandmates Paolo Campitelli (guitars) and Dario Gozzi (drums) from Kalidia, soon joined by Alessandro Mammola (guitars, also in Draconicon) and Luca Scalabrin (bass, also in Altair).
