Symphonic Metal Force From Brazil Poised to Take the World by Storm

Hailing from Brazil, female-fronted symphonic metal sensation Revengin is thrilled to announce their signing with Wormholedeath Records for the release of their highly anticipated new album, ‘Dark Dogma Embrace‘, set to drop in early 2025. FABULAE DRAMATIS Reveals New Single & Video “Fábula Violenta”

A chronicle of a childhood during war. A single that is part of the new upcoming album by Fabulae Dramatis entitled ‘Violenta‘ and that is a chronicle of Isabel Restrepo’s childhood during the drug war in the 90s in Aranjuez, Medellin – Colombia.

It tells a story full of contrast about experiences between the childhood world that she tried to lead but yet having to face a harsher reality where she wanted to play with dolls and at the same time tried to protect herself from bullets.

The video clip for this single reveals a memory of that Colombian war scenario in which at one point she found a stray bullet on her pillow, making her realise the fact that she had just escaped death.

The songs on this new album, which will be released on September 7, 2024, are full of personal, private and intimate experiences. This is what we felt was about time to do in order to reflect a more mature aspect of ourselves. A true, honest and at the same time cathartic musical process. In which we dare to present ourselves vulnerable in certain ways; simply as human beings and sharing our experiences with the public.

Painted Scars Unveil Defiant Single “Won’t Give Up” From Upcoming EP

“Won’t Give Up” is the 1st single from the upcoming debut EP ‘Kintsugi‘ by Painted Scars which will be released in August 2024.

The song is about confronting and rising up against something or someone who is keeping you from living the life you want or achieving the goals you want to achieve, a message many can relate to.

The inspiration for this song came from Jassy Blue’s own struggles with her illness, Cystic Fibrosis. This illness has long been something that has held her back in her singing aspirations and dreams. This song reflects her feelings on overcoming the disease to pursue her dream in music.

Painted Scars is a brand new heavy hitting rock band that was fully formed in April 2023. They recorded their first single “Life and Alive” in July 2023. The single was recorded at home by the band members and sent to an audio engineer in Germany for mixing and mastering. It received very positive reviews by local magazines and social media outlets.

As a try-out show, they organised a mini festival “Scarfest” in their home base in Erpe-Mere, Belgium. The festival took place in August 2023. The show, being a great success, triggered a series of follow up shows in the same year.

The band is known for their high energy show that leaves first timers with a deep impression. Heavy riffs and blazing guitar solos, combined with melodic choruses provide the crowd with a mix of head banging and sing along moments. In 2024, the band recorded their first EP ‘Kintsugi‘, which will be released at the 2nd edition of Scarfest in August 2024.

IRONWILL Debut New Single And Video Clip “Sad Night” From Their Upcoming EP

The Rock against Bullying project was born in 2018 from an initiative by Salvo “Ironwill” Dell’Arte. The band is part of a wide kaleidoscope in which all artistic forms are involved: music, photography, video, comics, illustration, and works of art. IRONWILL‘s aim is to bring together the best artists who are able to express the importance of the themes dealt within each phase of the project through their emotions.

IRONWILL believes that rock music and other forms of art are the best way to communicate with people, especially young people and teenagers, the light of the soul that everyone needs on the evolution path of their lives. Art is part of life and is the best way to help us give true meaning to our journey on this Earth.

IRONWILL aims to deal with personal and psychological issues, offering different points of view into the depths of one’s soul, trying to shine a warm light at the audience.

The first chapter dealt with bullying, in 2019 IRONWILL recorded the concept album “The Jonathan’s Journey“. The second chapter released in 2020/2021, called “Breakout“, is about the evolution of souls; 10 songs (plus an introductory single) linked by the same perspective: a positive evolution. In the meantime, IRONWILL are experimenting with a return to blues with a set of singles in which the crossover between rock and blues allows them to explore the themes musically. This fascinating exploration is called B2B Back to Blues.

Female Fronted CineMetal Discovery Ammify Signs Deal With Wormholedeath

Emerging West Australian outfit Ammify has announced that they have signed with Italian-based metal label, Wormholedeath, who will oversee global marketing and digital distribution for their forthcoming debut album, Lost, Not Hiding.

Featuring the musical pairing of Ammy Phoenix (vocals/lyrics) and Pete Renzullo (music/production) Lost, Not Hiding makes its way through the heavier genres. Still, the duo has themselves described it best as CineMetal.

Pete says:

“They said it was a very powerful album and they mentioned Ammy’s voice, of course. They were just very impressed that the style was quite unique. One of the guys said that we’ve managed to find our own universe and that of the artists they’ve previously signed, nothing like this has come across before. “Ultimately for me, the biggest thing about getting signed to a label is that they see what we have created here, which was essentially a passion project. As Ammy and I were writing the album we were saying, ‘There’s something about this’. The fact that an international label has found value in this is really exciting and just so promising.

“Lost, Not Hiding” is released internationally by Wormholedeath on June 14th, 2024.

Melodic Death Metal Unit ACT OF CREATION Reveal Title Track of Upcoming New Album “Moments To Remain”

Germany-based melodic death metal unit ACT OF CREATION has announced the first details about their forthcoming, fifth studio album entitled “Moments to Remain”! “Moments To Remain” can be considered as a continuation of the last three ACT OF CREATION albums, but it should still be seen as a stand-alone release.

Lyrically, all the songs revolve around the theme of time, which is also picked up on the cover in the form of a clock slowly dissolving in a lake. The “Moments To Remain” album cover once again depicts the girl who was reborn on “The Uncertain Light”. Now, however, she is already grown up, sitting in front of a lake, and reflecting on life. The whole album is based on the concept of reviewing an entire day and thinking about certain topics while sitting by the water.

Vocalist Jess tells us:

“This is the title track and deals with the topic of memory loss and how important and beautiful memories are as well as the moments in life that you might not immediately remember. With a short intro and outro in the song, we transport the listener to the scenery from the album cover, namely the lake of memories.”

At the beginning of the songwriting process, the band decided not to be constrained by past successes and, as usual, began to express their current feelings and thoughts through music. In order to give the album the maximum of energy and intensity, all songs on the album were recorded directly at the intended live tempo for the first time, so that every last bit of energy could be extracted from the material, thus ensuring that “Moments To Remain” reflects the intensity of ACT OF CREATION‘s live shows.

Furthermore, attention was paid to an even finer blend of all the band’s influences within the songs, which increases the progressiveness somewhat, while transporting the listener even more intensely into their musical world. With the new songs, ACT OF CREATION have succeeded in presenting a logical and consistent further progression of the band’s sound.

In close collaboration with audio engineer Dennis Koehne, a massive wall of sound has once again been created which, despite its incredible power, always leaves enough room for the subtle nuances of the band’s signature sound. The result is an album that, despite all its complexity, makes no compromises when it comes to a powerful performance and thus invites the listener on a highly emotion journey through the musical world of ACT OF CREATION!
