Shieldmaidens of MetalElize Ryd is one of three singers in the alternative/power metal band Amaranthe. She is very prolific as a guest/session vocalist, having worked together with the likes of Kamelot, Timo Tolkki, Beyond The Black, Tarja and many other high-profile bands. She also famously stood in for Anette Olzon at short notice for a Nightwish concert in the 2012 North American tour.
